AIgua includes a plan of actions for the digitalisation and improvement of the efficiency of the processes and infrastructures involved in the municipal water cycle, from collection to final discharge, promoting the reuse of regenerated water for urban purposes.
As for the project, among the many actions planned are the development of ten emergency plans for drought and two for floods, 13 new health plans, 54 updates to self-control protocols and health plans, 20 sanitation master plans, 41 plans to promote the use of reclaimed water, 50 leak management studies and 43 local and regional hydrogeological studies.
Also, it is planned 26 new intakes with remote measurement, 118 remote-measured flow meters in 33 municipalities, 6,500 LoRaWan household meters, 64 discharge gauging points, as well as the implementation of web tools for data transparency and software updates.
